Former SNESA captain Christian Tufilli will spearhead the club’s push to return to finals in 2015 after accepting the position of league coach.

Tufilli has filled several roles at the Saints since joining the club in 2006, including captaining the club, coaching the first colts side in nearly a decade and playing a vital assistant’s role under grand final coach Travis Gowland.

The club earmarked him as a future senior coach many years ago and are delighted he has finally moved into the position.

Tufilli will officially begin the role when pre-season commences in January. The club also wishes to announce the appointment of Mark Lupica as Reserves Coach. “We are both on the same page and have discussed culture, commitment and communication” Tufilli said.

“We are 100% committed to what the club is working towards in 2015.”

The club at this stage are likely to field a colts team in 2015, and are still working to finalise further coaching positions. Darren Vanderham will continue his role as Angels Coach.

Crippled slave driver Jadon Gielingh will continue to run pre-Christmas training, the schedule for which is available here.
